Jayco Inc. has teamed up with a local golf course, Spring Meadow Farm Golf Club, to provide visitors with the chance to hit the links following a factory tour. “A Tour and Tee Time” is good for a 30 percent discount on greens fees and a cart at Spring Meadow Farm for those who tour Jayco.

On the free factory tour, guests learn how the manufacturer grew from a 15-employee company operating out of two chicken houses and a barn, to employ 1400 with a facility that covers acres. The tour offers glimpses of the past – such as the old-world Amish craftsmanship that is still present – and views of the present, including walk-throughs of new units. While there, visitors can view historical photos and memorabilia; purchase Jayco apparel and merchandise; and visit the factories.

The Visitors Center welcomes guests weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. eastern standard time. The factory tour is held daily at noon, with an additional tour at 9:30 a.m. during June, July and August. Tours of the motorized facilities are offered by appointment. (There are no tours the week of July 4).

After the tour, guests can tee off at Spring Meadow Farm Golf Club. Located just minutes from Jayco, the championship course is the premier public facility in the area. It features a challenging, but enjoyable par 72 lay out with bent grass tees, greens and fairways. The course is a unique blend of traditional link-style and wooded hills. Each hole on the course has been designed to emphasize the natural beauty and rolling foothills of Middlebury’s rich farmland and history.
