Jayco® Eagle™ Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels

December 13, 2004

MIDDLEBURY, IN - Jayco Inc. has upgraded its 2005 line of Eagle travel trailers and fifth wheels by focusing on eye appeal and offering previously optional features as standard equipment. Customer research guided the changes for the new model year.

“Since its introduction in 1990, the Eagle series has been the foundation of Jayco’s travel trailer and fifth wheel business,” said Sid Johnson, director of marketing at Jayco. “In shaping the 2005 Eagle product line, we listened to the requests of our customers and made changes according to their needs and desires. We feel the Eagle line is better than ever before.”

The Eagle now offers interior enhancements like three new décor schemes and raised panel cabinet doors. Swivel rockers, day/night shades, glass shower doors, an outside shower and an eight-cu. ft. refrigerator have been changed from available options to standard equipment. Fifth wheels have added a 24-inch flat screen television to electronic entertainment offerings. Exterior features like 16-inch tires and dual battery boxes are also now standard equipment. A sprayer for the black water holding tank has been added as an available option.

New floorplan offerings consist of a 32-foot travel trailer with a front kitchen, and a king-sized bed in the bedroom slideout. The 28-foot travel trailer features a dinette slideout. For fifth wheels, the new 32-foot rear kitchen model offers a stand-up bedroom with slideout, two swivel rockers and a picture window. A 25-foot rear living room Eagle model, suitable for lighter weight towing, is also a new entry for 2005.
